Wine Tours & Local Drivers
The single best decision you can make on a Hunter wine day is not to drive. Local drivers and small-group operators will pick you up at the motor inn, plan the route around what you actually like drinking, and get you home again.
What's available
Options range from a private driver in your own vehicle to small-group minibus tours taking in four or five cellar doors with lunch included. Upper Hunter-only days are shorter and more relaxed; Pokolbin days are longer and busier.
Booking it
Give reception a day or two's notice and we'll point you to the operators our guests come back raving about. Weekends and vintage need more notice.
- Eat properly at lunch — tastings add up faster than people expect.
- Tell your driver what you like; the good ones will rebuild the route around it.
- Take an esky bag if you plan on buying — summer boots get hot.
Operators collect from Denman Motor Inn — ask reception a day or two ahead.
Base yourself in the village — our rooms are about Pick-up from the motor inn from here, with free parking at your door.
